Rattlewood is in great fall shape...after great summer weather, this course definitely benefited from the adequate rain fall. Rattlewood is a very fairly priced course with a good mix of challenging and straigh forward holes.

I've played two of the MGC, this was my third one, I must say i have good timing, each time I've played these courses I've found them in perfect condition. The woods was in excellent condition. It was a 8:30 tee time, but our group arrived early, and the starter got us out before our tee time. The pro shop was under repair, but the snack bar was serving breakfast, the starter was great. I am looking forward to playing the other MGC'es.

The condition of the course wasn't great. A sign on the door of the Pro Shop apologized for the dry conditions of the the fairways, due to water rationing. But no discount on green fees. The greens had been taken care of, but as the sign stated the fairways were quite dry, hard, brown and fast.

By no means is this course a must play - very dry, fairways need a lot of help, sand traps were more like dirt - but the value here is in the price, the pace of play, and the forgivingness of the course. I played a round in just under 4 hours, and there were staff around to make sure others were keeping pace. Errant tee shots are easy to find; I played all 18 with only 1 ball! Even though itâ..s not the most challenging design, the pin placements made you analyze each approach, and all 18 greens were well conditioned. Would definitely recommend the course to those looking for an quick, inexpensive round and one that will make you feel a little better about your game.
