Played Musket Ridge for the first time yesterday in over a year and I couldn't have been more pleased with the course. The staff was very courteous, new golf carts (though no GPS yet) and the range was full of balls (included with your greens fee). The couse was in excellent shape fron the tees to the greens. The only small complaint was that some of the bunkers were low on sand. Overall, an excellent day. However, be careful what time of day you play because the greens fees vary greatly.

I play this course a couple of times a year, and this year conditions were a little worse than usual. Specifically, many of the bunkers were full of water after moderate rain the day before, and most of them had not been raked in days. Very disappointing to pay what this course charges and find the bunkers in terrible condition and the sand as hard as rock in many places. In my opinion, Musket Ridge lost some of its luster for me.

Overall, the course is in great condition for the 1st of August. The greens were great and the fairways were too. The service was great. In my opinion, this track could benefit from a few things... 1) a yardage book. 2) Sand in the sand traps (and there are lots of them). For $90 on a weekday, I should be able to hit from sand when my ball finds a trap. It was like hitting from the parking lot. 3) This course should be mapped for Sky Caddie. Those are my only complaints. All in all, the course was beautiful, the pace was excellent and the beer was cold. I would rate it a 9/10.

I've been golfing for about five years, and I must say this course is the best I've ever played on. I took a lesson from their Golf Pro, Larry Ringer, and he really was patient with me and gave me some great tips to improve my game. The course is really beautiful, and my sister is even considering having her wedding in their new banquet pavilion! I definitely would recommend this course for beginners as well as advanced players. It really doesn't get any better than this.

Dont let the secret out, Musketridge is one of the best places to play in the DC area and a bargin! From the time you get there it is run like a first class facility. The staff is friendly and greets you at your car to take your clubs. They have a beautiful club house with brand new events facility next door. And when you step out the back of the clubhouse to begin your round, the view is absolutely spectacular. Course was in great condition, chalenging at times, but a good variety of holes. The foursome I went with all had a great time and plan on going back soon. Enjoy!

Very nice layout and appealing to the eye; although, I found the fairways to have a rubbery feel. You can't take a divot. It is very soft grass but it is so dried out it its rubbery. This made the day very annoying. The greens on the course are nothing like practice green. Very long and hairy, not true at all. Good course otherwise and especially when the conditions are better. For now, avoid it if you like taking divots.

Guys, this place is a steal. The rolling hills and Augusta like greens are enviable. The course provides a challenge for every skill level with its five sets of tees. The overall service is great too. If you are from the Baltimore area, take a ride out to Myersville and play this gem, it's a pleasure.
